Document Validator

Check whether a CPF, CNPJ, or IBAN passes its checksum rules. Validation runs locally and confirms structure and check digits—not whether the document is issued or active.

How it works

  1. 1

Paste or type the value to check.

  2. 2

Select the document/format type if the tool has modes.

  3. 3

Read the valid / invalid result — checksum success is not the same as official registry status.

Why use this tool

  • Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.
  • 100% free, no sign-up, no limits.
  • Works in any modern browser — no app install, no extension, no account.

Checksum validation vs official registries

CPF and CNPJ use Brazilian check-digit algorithms; IBAN uses the ISO 13616 mod-97 check. Passing validation means the number is well-formed. It does not prove the document exists in a government database or belongs to a specific person or company.

How to use Document Validator

Enter a value in Document Validator to test format and check digits. A “valid” result means the value passes algorithmic checks — not that it exists in an official database.

Tips for better results

Strip spaces if the tool expects digits only. Never use test generators to impersonate real people or companies.

Privacy and offline-friendly processing

Whenever possible, Document Validator processes your data locally with JavaScript in this page. That means drafts, secrets, and unfinished work stay on your device by default. Prefer this workflow when you do not want to upload sensitive text, tokens, passwords, or files to a third-party service.
